Eagles Open Up Topping Vaughn, 86-37

Throggs Neck, N.Y. - Brian Inge (Fort Washington, Md.) knocked down a game high 19 points going 7 of 11 from the floor and William Kemp Harris (Suitland, Md.) added 17 going 8 of 12 from the field leading the Daniel Webster College men's basketball team past host Vaughn College, 86-37 in the Eagles season opener Sunday at N.Y. Martime.

Joel Prince (Woodbridge, Va.) added 10 points and Chris Voukides (Salem, N.H.) chipped in with eight as the Eagles (1-0) overwhelmed the Warriors (3-2), thanks in large part to 71-percent shooting (24-34) in the first half that built a 56-22 lead at the half.

The Eagles dominated the glass (41-25) and took advantage of 25 Warrior turnovers.

Steve Savage (Salem, N.H.) added seven points for the Eagles, while Chris Hanson (Salem, Mass.) added six. Rob Bell and Erich Desusa led the Warriors with eight points each.

The Eagles open their home slate this coming Wednesday when they host Johnson State College beginning at 7:00 p.m. The game is part of a doubleheader that included the women's team hosting Johnson State at 5:00 p.m.
