Men's Volleyball: Eagles Drop Pair To Emerson, Rivier

Tommy Reyes posted a rare triple double in the Eagles match with Emerson on Saturday.

Nashua – Daniel Webster dropped a pair of non-conference matches Saturday, falling to Emerson, 3-1 and 12th-ranked and host Rivier, 3-0 at the Muldoon Center on the Rivier Campus. Charlie Hendrix led the Eagles with a combined 25 kills.

In the opener, DWC (1-8) grabbed the opening set, 27-25 but the Lions rallied to capture the next three, 25-12, 25-20 and 28-26.

Hendrix led DWC with 13 kills while Tommy Reyes added a rare triple double of 10 kills, 12 assists and 11 digs. Ryan Howdeshell also filled the stat sheet with seven kills, 18 assists, five aces and nine digs.

In the nightcap, the 12-th ranked Raiders improved to 7-6 overall with a 25-20, 25-21, 25-20 victory. Hendrix was again the high man for DWC with 12 kills while Howdeshell posted six kills and 12 assists. Kyle Lovering chipped in with four kills.

The Eagles are off until Tuesday night when they return home to begin a seven-match home stand hosting Lesley in a NECC matchup at 7:00 p.m.
