Nashua, NH - Senior Ryan Howdeshell (Fairbanks, Alaska) combined for 21 kills, 16 digs and nine service aces while hitting .485 leading host Daniel Webster to a pair of 3-0 sweeps over NECC foe Lesley and non-conference foe Mount Ida Saturday at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
Mount Ida added a 3-0 victory over Lesley in the day's middle match.
DWC improved to 11-9 overall (5-1 NECC) and have now won three straight and seven of their last nine. Mount Ida moved to 6-10 overall while Lesley dropped to 0-6 overall (0-4 NECC).
Richmond Iturralde Zavalza (Tucson, Ariz.) added 17 combined kills for DWC with three total blocks and hit .441 while rookie Saunoa Afoa (Las Vegas, Nev.) combined for 17 kills, 12 assists, 16 digs and four blocks. NJ Makaiwi (Las Vegas) combined for 53 assists, five kills, 15 digs and a pair of aces.
The Eagles now are off for 18 days until they host NECC rival Newbury on March 17th at 7:00 p.m.

In the day's opener, DWC improved to 17-0 all-time against the Lynx and trailed only three times, earning set scores of 25-7, 25-19 and 25-8.
Afoa, Zavalza and Howdeshell all reached 10 kills apiece with Howdeshell banging down six aces to go with eight kills. Makaiwi dished out 24 assists and pulled in nine digs. Tommy Reyes (Providence, R.I.) chipped in with four aces and three kills.
Tyler Burns led Lesley with eight kills, four aces and 10 digs while Karuan Chiemruom (Cranston, R.I.) handed out 13 assists.
DWC combined to hit .386 and posted 36 kills to 15 for Lesley. DWC also combined for 14 service aces.

In the nightcap, Howdeshell was the high man for DWC posting a match-best 11 kills with eight digs and three aces as the Eagles posted set scores of 25-8, 25-13, and 25-20. Afoa, Reyes, and Zavalza all posted seven kills each while Makaiwi dished out 29 assists. Afoa also reached double figures in digs with 10.
The Eagles never trailed and were never tied.
Peter Griffenkranz (Deer Park, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with eight kills and added six digs, while Brett Southworth (Orange, Conn.) chipped in with five kills. Jimmy Wessel (DeKalb, Ill.) picked up 18 assists.
DWC, which improved to 7-2 all-time against Mount Ida, hit .427 overall and finished with a 38-24 advantage in total kills and a decisive difference in total blocks (11-2).

In the day's mid-game, the Mustangs trailed only five times and earned set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-9.
Griffenkranz led Mount Ida with a match-high 10 kills while Nate Gyampo (Providence) added nine and pulled in eight digs. Nathan Sprengle (Williamstown, N.J.) posted 17 assists.
Tyler Burns, Chris Barletta (Valrico, Fla.) and Jacob DiDomenico (N. Providence, R.I.) all picked up four kills for Lesley. Chiemruom added 13 assists and six digs.
Mount Ida hit .250 as a team and nearly doubled up the Lynx on kills (28-16).
